Different methods of marketing for films
The marketing methods i can remember from today are viral, books, film websites, posters, merchandise, toys and games, trailers documentaries and video games.
Today i learned that some film marketing methods are suited to particular audiences. foe example: creating a video game full of violence for a film is best suited to a film whose audience is 16+ and are interested and like video games.
A book would be good form of marketing and is best suited to those for like reading and comparing books and films. It would be for mainly girls if the book is a romance or love story.
Today i learned that some film marketing methods are suited to particular genres of film. For example: having a trailer for a film is best suited to horror genres as it offers a sneak peak and a glimpse of the movie.

low budget marketing campaigns
A Low Budget Film Might Have:

- A low-budget film is a motion picture shot with little or no funding from a major film studio or private investor.
- Not Much Money
Paranormal Activity- was a low budget film and here is its film poster
The most profitable movie of all time is a true outlier. With just $15,000, the visionaries behind this project created a movie that took in a worldwide gross of almost $197 million, a staggering percentage return of over 655,000%.

- Rocky- Was A Low Budget Film Here Is The Film Poster
Why do you wanna fight?” says Adrian. “Cause I can’t sing or dance,” replies Rocky. Perhaps this exchange epitomizes the reason for the classic boxing movie’s success and overwhelming cult status. It provided a cinematic classic for a largely male audience who needed a hero; one that wasn’t heroic because of his moon walk or falsetto, but for his fighting spirit. With a budget of $1 million, Rocky notched up an impressive worldwide gross of $225 million, giving a percentage return of over 11,000%. Knockout.
- Halloween- Was A Low Budget Film Here Is The Film Poster
It was 1978, the year when one of the legends of the horror genre was released into the world. Michael Myers was arguably the foundational figure in the canon of “slasher” icons of Hollywood, but the movie received mixed reviews when first launched, with some critics arguing that his character was far too one-dimensional. Nevertheless, in proof that character depth is not necessarily the key to success, cinema-goers loved the film. Halloween grossed $70m from a modest budget of $325,000, providing a return of almost 11,000% and leaving in its wake a tradition of over-the-top gore that survives to this day.
High Budget Marketing Campaigns
- A high budget film would have a very big budget. 80-90m+ dollars would be spent on it.
- A high budget film marketing campaign is a campaign that promotes the film before the film comes out in cinemas
- Pirates of the carribean had a budget of $300million, Spiderman had a lesser budget of $244m budget, Harry potter as a whole is one of the highest at around half a billion dollars
- High budget marketing materials are used such as advertising through various media and viral options.

My Idea for an Advert
- I will be advertising running specialized trainers
- i would have a pro runner advertising it. (preferably a fit one- hannah england, jess ennis)
- Race directive because it says what the product and sounds coolio
- green, black and white will be the main colours because they go well with eachand stands
- it will be for 16+ and people who like running and are very competitive, for boys and girls
adverts for running shoes

- Nike running shoes.
- I like that the shoes are not just flat on the floor but are standing up with an ipod around them. it gives you an idea of what the advert is trying to say.
- I don't like the fact that there is not a lot of information on it.
- The unique selling point is the ipod, the shoes are paired with the ipod to offer better recording of exercise etc.
- The advert is for people who like technology and keeping fit. 16-30 year old people would like it as they are more likely to listen to there ipod while running.
Conventions of Adverts
What to expect from an advert?
- Title/name
- slogan
- picture of product
- celebrity to advertise it( good looking people. no susan boyle allowed)
- colours depending on product
- info about product

Teenagers in the media
Teenagers are depicted as knife wielding holligans who have know respect for anything, would rob there own nan and have sex with everything in sight. the media might actually be right. It's just that some people mainly them who think its wrong that they are depicted this way. The media has no moralls, which is obvious by the things that are printed and uploaded on the internet. I'm gonna try and tell you why they are seen this.

Kidulthood potrays teenagers as destructive, angry criminals. this was a popular film and gave a lot of people the wrong impression

american pie is about teenagers going round making as much disturbance as possible and being reckless and having as much sex as possible. not all teenagers are like this, they are called patrick grigg and various other names.
Teenagers in tv shows

the inbetweeners is a show about four teenagers, they are shown to be wanting to have sex all the time and are idiots mainly neil
The simpsons is another show that depicts teenagers and young children as troublesome miscreants. Bart Simpson is always causing trouble. The bullies and nelson are also characters that have seen to be drinking and grafitiing
The fire at mill hill underneath the M1.

The news has given teenagers a very bad reputation. There are always storys about teenagers getting in to trouble. these teenagers are not the majority but the majority are tarnished with the same label of being destriuctive and bad.

This fire was very serious and had a lot of consequences for the people involved who were all teenagers. This brought up lots of storys on the news and in newspapers about how teenagers were not to be trusted and that all teenagers were like this, which is not true.
Conclusion
:
A small majority of teenagers aren actually what the media present them as. The media has done well to put a bad name to all tenagers.
